I was tasked by Brand USA to develop signage that would attract visitors and direct them to experience Food Truck Nation at World Expo Milan 2015. Since the creative look of Food Truck Nation was established (by another agency), I used iconography that was already in place, and designed flagpole banner signs in English and Italian.
The theme for the 2015 USA Pavilion is American Food 2.0: United to Feed the Planet. Milan Expo 2015 enables the USA Pavilion to showcase the United States as an innovator not only in the food sector, but also in many aspects of culture, science and business. Feeding ourselves engages a massive infrastructure, advanced technologies, and dynamic systems that touch on just about every aspect of the world we live in.
As part of the USA Pavilion, Food Truck Nation is a fun exhibit that invites international visitors to sample the cuisine of America. As much a symbol of American entrepreneurism as gastronomic creativity, these new-wave food trucks serve up a wide variety of dishes, traditional and modern.
