For the past few months, I have been beaming with excitement about Illuminate Salon’s launch! Jessica, the owner, came to me with an idea of the overall aesthetic she was looking for to represent her brand; a modern and fresh logo design that embodied her salon’s spirit.
Our journey started just a few months before the salon’s launch. Jessica had a clear vision of what her salon was going to be; a boutique hair salon with luxury products and a commitment to quality.
I designed a primary logo with an alternate logo mark that gave Jessica the versatility she needed in her brand, with simple, modern typography .

Once we had established the logo and overall brand direction, it was time to turn our attention to the salon’s online presence. We had less than two months before the salon’s launch to get their website up and running, and time was of the essence! Jessica’s concerns with launching a website were simple; she wanted the ability for the staff to make changes on their own, and a responsive site that was accessible on mobile. We launched a website in 2013, but in 2019 came back for a full refresh. Click here to see the new website!
